ASIAEXPO 2023: A Global Agro-Industrial Success with Record Contracts, Distinguished Speakers, and International Partnerships

From October 25 to 27, the International Agricultural Congress ASIAEXPO 2023 took place in the exhibition media center of the Sirius Science and Art Park, which became the first business and discussion platform in the agro-industrial industry of Russia on a global scale.

In three days, the congress was attended by more than 6,000 people. In addition to the guests, these are representatives of 354 leading companies and organizations of the agro-industrial complex of Russia, countries of Southeast Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and the CIS, 100 of whom took part in the exhibition part. The main result of the congress was the conclusion of more than 100 contracts totaling 2.96 billion rubles. The largest contribution to this amount was made by the Chinese company, “Jiangsu Zhengchang Cereal & Feed Machinery Co. Ltd.,”, which will build a plant in the Krasnodar Territory. Contracts were also signed by the companies “Protect&Feed”, “PROmoloko”, “Kazan Hippodrome”, “Sun Corn,” and others.

In total, more than 70 business, cultural, and sports events were held at ASIAEXPO 2023. Within the framework of the business program, the plenary session “Trends in the development of agriculture in the face of challenges”, 10 round tables, and 38 practical sessions were held, where 290 expert practitioners and representatives of authorities in charge of the agricultural sector from China, India, Turkey, Iran, Senegal, Gabon, Mali, Kenya, Belarus, and Georgia, as well as 34 subjects from the Russian Federation, As a result, 21 public agreements on partnership and further cooperation between Russian and foreign companies and organizations from the fields of business, science, and education were signed. Among them: the largest producer and supplier of genetic material for farm animals in the Russian Federation, JSC Moskovskoye, has for the first time agreed to export products to the Republic of Mali; the best organization for insemination of agricultural animals of the Udmurt Republic, LLC “Mozhgaplem,” has concluded an agreement with representatives of the Stavropol Territory and the Nizhny Novgorod region on the acquisition of breeding goats.

Experts considered such issues as: export of Russian products to China – the main trends, problems and ways to solve them; mutual trade in agricultural products in the field of poultry farming between Russia and

India; the vaccine market in India, opportunities for cooperation with Russia in the supply of raw materials for the production of vaccines; expansion of export potential in the field of agriculture and quality improvement and competitiveness of Russian and Turkish agricultural products; introduction of new technologies in the field of environmental protection and reduction of the negative impact of agriculture on the ecosystem of countries; innovations in agriculture, innovations in poultry farming; processing of dairy products; export of products from Russia to Iran and the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between representatives of agriculture of Russia and Iran; genetics in animal husbandry – problems and ways to solve them; Russian-African relations in the field of breeding, and others.

The following round tables – “Personnel in the agro–industrial complex”, “Genetics”, “Animal Husbandry”, “Crop production”, “Horse breeding” – raised equally important and problematic topics for the development of agriculture: solutions to the shortage of qualified personnel and training systems at enterprises, prospects for the development of genetics, scientific tactics and strategy for the development of high-performance agriculture, the development of technologies for animal husbandry in partnership with friendly countries, technologies and new solutions for sustainable agriculture, investments in bioeconomics, improving the efficiency and competitiveness of agricultural enterprises, and many others.

The main information conclusions following the results of the plenary session of the congress “ASIAEXPO 2023” were: Krasnodar Krai ranks third in the Russian Federation in the export of processed agricultural products, producing 30 types of different flour, focusing on the specific needs of importing countries (CIS, Africa, Far abroad and South America), and also works together with specialists from other subjects of the Russian Federation and countries in the areas of breeding and genetics, technical and technological modernization in order to increase production volumes and product quality, taking into account the global trend towards cost reduction; the Udmurtia Republic sees prospects for partnership with Asian and African countries in realizing the increased export potential of dairy and meat products; Russia has become the largest exporter of fat-and-oil and fish products to China, and is also increasing the supply of grain, soybeans, corn, rapeseed, barley and oats; From 2024 on, exports of soybeans, corn, and rapeseed to China will be possible from all over Russia.

The highlight of the opening ceremony of the congress was the performance of the State Concert Dance and Song Ensemble “Kuban Cossack Freemen named after N.V. Kubar”, which presented the guests with the peculiarities of Russian and Cossack culture in three rooms. The end of the opening ceremony of “ASIAEXPO 2023” was the symbolic cutting of the red ribbon with the logo of the congress. And as part of the closing ceremony, a brief summing up and awarding of the winners of the cultural and entertainment program events took place: a mass race, a mini-football tournament, the “Best Product/Service” championship, and the “Best Stand” competition for exhibitors. The organizers also noted the moderators of the most popular practical sessions of the business program.
