LETTER TO BAYER ANIMAL HEALTH AND JOINT SUPPLIERS
Dear Supplier
We are pleased to inform you that Elanco Animal Health completed the acquisition of Bayer Animal Health on August 1,2020.These two complementary animal health-focused organizations are now unbound from human pharma, creating one company solely focused on animal health, dedicated to innovating and delivering for farmers, veterinarians and pet owners. Together, we are committed to providing a more comprehensive portfolio of products along with unparalleled service and support to our customers and the animals in their care, because making their lives better, makes life better.
As a valued supplier of Bayer Animal Health or both Bayer Animal Health and Elanco, we wanted to share this good news and inform you that we have started the process of synchronizing our supplier data and integrating our procurement systems.
Prior to closing, Bayer Animal Health should have informed you of important actions you need to take to ensure continuity of purchase orders and invoicing heritage Bayer Animal Health for your products or services. These instructions can be found here, follow them carefully as misdirected invoices may result in a delay in payment.
Any unfulfilled or partially filled Bayer Animal Health orders were closed by Bayer prior to close and are being re-opened by Elanco to reflect the outstanding balance. Existing contracts and purchase orders will remain on the same Bayer terms and conditions previously agreed. New contracts and purchase orders will be placed on Elanco’s Terms and Conditions which can be found at www.elanco.com/suppliers.
If you are a supplier of both Bayer Animal Health and Elanco, your company must maintain two separate customer accounts and manage invoicing separately. You will continue to have one account for heritage Elanco products and one for the transferring Bayer Animal Health products for a considerable period of time.
In the weeks and months to come, we will begin to integrate our business operations and will keep you informed on any aspects that might impact the way we work together. While your Elanco contacts remain the same, your contacts for Bayer may change. We will inform you if and when that happens. In the meantime, you should not expect significant changes unless informed otherwise. If you have an urgent inquiry, we recommend you visit www.elanco.com/suppliers and use the inquiry routing facilities to contact a member of our procurement team,
We appreciate your continued support and partnership as we take this next major step to create an even better Elanco.
Sincerely,
Rick Risley Chief Procurement Officer
