Layer Poultry Farmers in Haryana Benefit from VENWORLD CONNECT Seminars by Venkateshwara B V Biocorp & Venkys India AHP

The Venworld team recently organized a series of Layer Farmer Meetings across Haryana, drawing massive participation and creating an energetic platform for knowledge sharing among poultry farmers in the North Zone. The event series commenced on 6th August 2025 in Panipat, followed by two consecutive seminars on 7th August in Kohand and Kaithal, which saw strong participation from poultry farmers across the region. The program, conducted under the theme ā€œLayer Nutrition: Early Chick Nutrition, Gut Health for Healthy Pullet production for better laying performance.ā€ This seminar underscored the significance of balanced early-stage nutrition in fostering healthy pullet development, enhancing immunity, and ensuring consistent laying performance.

In addition, the discussions highlighted the importance of effective mycotoxin management in protecting bird health and supporting optimal productivity. Participants were cordially welcomed, and the presenters maintained a professional yet engaging approach, ensuring that the sessions were both informative and impactful.

The seminar sessions opened with a heartfelt welcome from Mr. H.S. Padda, DGM – North Zone, and an insightful introduction from Mr. Shashi Bhushan, AGM – North Zone. Reaffirming their vision, both leaders highlighted VENWORLD’s goal of equipping farmers with state-of-the-art technical knowledge and forward-thinking regarding feeding practices for a sustainable poultry future.

Expert Technical Presentations

The technical sessions formed the core of the seminar. Dr. Sunil Nadgauda, DGM- Technical Pune, delivered an insightful and highly engaging session on the critical role of early chick nutrition and gut health in enhancing pullet growth and overall layer performance. Using practical, real-world examples.

Dr. Sunil Nadgauda delivering his presentation on early chick nutrition and gut health

He explained how precise nutritional management in the early stages of a chick’s life directly impacts pullet size, body weight, uniformity and ultimately egg size during the laying period. He emphasized that achieving optimal pullet growth is key to maximizing productivity and ensuring uniform flock performance. He also underlined the vital role of gut health, pointing out that most poultry diseases originate in the gut. A healthy gut ensures better nutrient absorption, which is essential for sustained laying performance. The session further highlighted innovative feed solutions such as Mixiblend, designed to deliver balanced nutrition while promoting gut integrity and improving overall flock efficiency. This all-in-one blend contains essential vitamins, minerals, enzymes (including phytase and xylanase), liver tonics, toxin binders, antioxidants, and other feed additives in a single formulation. This approach not only supports bird health but also prevents feed mixing errors, reduces management hassle, and ensures consistent, error-free nutrition from feed mill to farm.

Dr. Vishwas Sagajkar, DGM- Sales and Marketing, Pune addressed the serious challenge of multiple toxins in poultry, including mycotoxins, endotoxins, pesticides, and chemicals, and explained that mycotoxins, which areĀ  secondary metabolites produced by molds such as Aspergillus, Fusarium, and Penicillium, posed significant risks to poultry health. He described how aflatoxins, T-2 toxin, ochratoxin, deoxynivalenol, fumonisin, and zearalenone could cause reduced weight gain, poor feed efficiency, immune suppression, organ damage, and lower egg quality. Surveys reveals a high prevalence of multiple mycotoxins in Indian poultry feeds, often occurring together and causing synergistic effects, while global data also confirmed widespread contamination in raw materials.

As a solution, Dr. Sagajkar highlighted the importance of effective toxin binders such as ā€œBiobantoxā€ and ā€œBiobantox Plus,ā€ modified bentonite-based products with high smectite content, optimized cation exchange capacity, and specialized processing that ensured strong adsorption of a wide range of toxins without binding essential nutrients.Ā  ā€œBiobantoxā€ and ā€œBiobantox Plusā€ provides protection against polar and bipolar mycotoxins as well as pesticides, chemicals, and endotoxins and were proven through extensive in vivo and in vitro trials to enhance performance and protect target organs.

Each session saw active participation, with farmers exchanging experiences and seeking practical solutions to challenges in the field. The participants turnout for these seminars was a testament to the poultry community’s strong interest in adopting scientifically proven feeding practices and safe feed management techniques.
