PM Modi Launches IB Group’s Advanced Fish Feed Facility to Boost Blue Revolution in Uttar Pradesh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the ABIS Fish Feed Plant of IB Group in Uttar Pradesh. IB group isone of India’s leading protein producers, marking a major step towards strengthening the nation’s fisheries sector and advancing the Vikasit Bharat 2047 vision.

The state-of-the-art plant, located in Jagdishpur, Uttar Pradesh, was inaugurated. under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhan Yojana, in the presence of more than 6000 fish farmers and traders from across the country.

Addressing the gathering. Prime Minister Modi urged farmers to adopt modern aquaculture techniques and protein-rich feed to enhance productivity and improve nutrition standards. He said, “Incorporating protein in our dictsis essential forthe health of our citizens and the strength of the nation.” IB Group’s Managing Director Bahadur Ali expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for their support, stating that This plant would not have been possible without the proactive policies of the state government.

Their vision for fisheries development inspired us to establish a world-class feed facility d dedicated tothe welfare of our farmers. IB Group remains fully committed to realising the Prime Minister’s vision of a Viksit Bharat2047.

Equipped with a production capacity of 600 tonnes per day (TPD), the modern unit is expected to meet the rising demand for quality fish feed across North India. The plant will not only boost domestic feed production and reduce dependency on imports but alsogenerate significant rural employment and support the local economy .

Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Rajeev Ranjan Singh, and Minister of State for Agriculture Bhagirathi Choudhary attended the ceremony.

Senior IB Group officials, including Dr. Mohammad Asif Qureshi, BusinessHead of the Fish Feed Division, were also present. The initiative is being hailed as a transformative milestone for India’s fisheries industry, aligning with the national goal of a self reliant and nutritionally secure India.
