The size of the poultry industry in India is around INR 1000 Billion and is expected to grow at the rate of 8-10% over the next few years. The potential is enormous when one considers the fact that just 65 eggs are consumed per capita in India compared to a country like Japan where it is 330 eggs per capita. This partnership has relevance much larger than just a business association – it has enormous potential of making use of the genetically superior Hy-Line layers to feed the rising population of India with an economical source of animal protein.
